This Steam Control 12-Quart Surgical Stainless Steel Stockpot is FANTASTIC. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest review and I am so happy I got this pot. I had never heard of a steam control pot before and now I can’t believe I ever lived without one.
Steam Control 12-Quart Surgical Stainless Steel Stockpot Details
When you very first open the pot and take it out of the box, the first thing you notice is the weight. This is NOT some garbage, cheapie pot. It has a good amount of weight to it and the quality is VERY evident.
The next thing you notice is that it is NOT white, though it does come in a white box that is perfect for gift giving. The pot is silver colored stainless steel – not white, like it shows in the stock photo. The bottom of the pot is nice and thick and the handles are very well made. I can’t say enough about how much I am loving this pot. Absolutely perfect. I have to say, I would recommend this to absolutely anyone. Every kitchen needs one of these. I can’t believe I never had anything like this before.

I had no idea how to use the Steam Control 12-Quart Surgical Stainless Steel Stockpot when I received it, but the instructions that come attached to the pot were extremely helpful. What you do is put your pot on the stove with about 1/4 cup of water at the bottom of the pot. Then you put in your meat, seasonings, etc into the pot. Next, put the lid on and turn on the stove to MEDIUM. No need to use HIGH. Be sure the vent is set to open on the lid. Once you hear it whistle, you then close the vent and let it continue to cook – be sure to turn the heat down to low or simmer. It makes your meat SUPER tender! The meat doesn’t burn and just comes out delicious. I have cooked pulled pork and a full chicken in it so far.
