Money Savvy Kids Curriculum REVIEW
Money Savvy Kids Curriculum – Home Schooling Course REVIEW
I recently had the opportunity to take a look at and try the Money Savvy Kids Curriculum by Money Savvy Generation – which includes a Piggy Bank and so much more. I have to say that I am EXTREMELY impressed with how many lessons this curriculum has and how in depth the course really goes and just how easy it is for children to really get a grasp on the true value of money. I received Level 1 which is meant for children ages 6-11.
The Money Savvy Generation website describes the product as follows:

I can’t even begin to say how very impressed I am with the Money Savvy Kids Curriculum. I have been working this course with my niece who is 8 years old. She feels like its a game – so its really easy to get her to follow, enjoy and participate in this curriculum. I often hear her singing the songs all on her own to herself. She feels most proud of herself when she puts money into the savings and into the charity slots of the piggy bank (we have the pink pig).
Neither myself, nor my niece have had any problems understanding or following along with the lesson plans. The curriculum is very easy to follow and is laid out in way that makes it fun for the adults, too and honestly I have learned quite a bit myself. I’ll be honest in that I am terrible with finances and I do NOT want that passed down to the younger generation of my family.
If you want my honest opinion here – this course needs to be in EVER SINGLE SCHOOL in the United States! If you think back – how much did we learn in school about budgeting? I remember getting a one hour lecture in about the 7th grade. That was it. In 12th grade I learned how to write a check – also a one hour class. That was it. This is SUCH an essential lifeskill that just isn’t taught in schools. If your parents don’t teach you (and many just don’t know how to budget, much less teach it to their children) — then you are just left trying to figure it out on your own as an adult. This is probably why so many adults are in debt, etc.
Even if you are AWFUL with money – I highly suggest you get this course and teach your kids properly – so they will be set in life with this SERIOUSLY important life lesson. I can’t wave flags and flash lights enough to tell you to buy this Money Savvy Kids Curriculum. It is ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!!!!!! WELL DONE!!!!!!
